DODSON-Alice M. Dolphay, 88, a homemaker died April 16, at the Phillips County Hospital of natural causes.

    The family will receive friends at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 22 at the Dodson High School Gymnasium. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Dodson. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com.

    Alice Mae Dolphay, 88, a longtime resident of Dodson, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was the loving wife of Herman Dolphay, whom she married on November 10, 1947. Raised north of Dodson, Alice was the oldest of 12 children born to Clifford and Greta (Knapp) Young. After finishing school, Alice moved to Dodson where she worked for Bud and Alice Phillips, while raising her 6 children.

    In her early years, Alice enjoyed attending the Phillips County Fair with her sisters, Elma and Wilma. Later in life, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren, especially during the holidays.
She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

    Alice is survived by Herman Dolphay, her husband of 68 years; brothers, Dennis Young, Duane Young, and Richard Young; her children and their spouses, Barbara (Steve) Tremblay, Glenn (Toni) Dolphay, Wayne (Lynn) Dolphay, Robert ( Patti) Dolphay, and Randy ( Patty )Dolphay; as well as her 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Harold Dolphay.
