BILLINGS- Earl Dean “Butch” Miller, 58, an electrician, died November 17 in Billings.

    The family will receive friend at 7:00 P.M., Friday at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 26, at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in Malta. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Condolences for the family may be left at

    Earl Dean “Butch” Miller was born June 11th 1958 in Havre, Montana to Larry & Carol (Harrison) Miller. He did his schooling in Malta, Montana. He learned the electrical trade from his father at an early age. He worked with his dad Larry at Miller Electric until leaving for Nevada in the mid 80’s. In Nevada he carried on his electrical career, even owning his own business. He later returned to Montana 30 yrs later continuing his electrical career in Colstrip Mt. Butch liked to live life to its fullest, also enjoying George Strait & country concerts, the NFR in Vegas and the PBR in Billings. He was a loving father and always encouraged his kids. He was a one of a kind cowboy who will be greatly missed.

    He married Corliss Hurlburt in 1979. In April 1988 he was united in marriage to Debbie Anderson in Reno, Nevada. They had 2 children together Tami & Jacob.

    He is survived by his father Larry Miller (Connie) of Malta; daughters, Cass Wood of Malta, Tami McMahon (Tom) of Reno Nevada; son Jacob Miller of Ft Bragg N. Carolina, a sister, Jessie Miller (Tim Berg) of Lewistown, Mt; brother, Alan Joe Miller (Diana) of Gardnerville, NV; step-sister, Tina Myers (Bill) of Malta; 2 grandsons Ryan & Cameran & 1 great granddaughter Aleigha; and several nieces & nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Miller and step-sister, Kimmy George.

Joe and family I am deeply sorry for the loss of Butch. I remember him as always being nice and kind. There is nothing I can do or say to replace your brother, a son, an uncle etc....I am deeply saddened by his passing. May God bless your families.
