Dorothy was born May 24, 1932 in Turner, MT to Monroe and Enid (Johnson) Anderson. She grew up on a farm near Turner, with 7 siblings and graduated from Turner High School in 1950. There she met her husband, Sig Salveson, who worked for the Big Flat Electric Cooperative. They were married Sept. 3, 1950 and became wonderful parents to seven children. They moved to Malta in 1959. Dorothy worked many years as a nurse’s aide at the nursing home. Sig, her husband of 51 years died in 2002.

Dorothy accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age. She loved the Lord and she prayed and sang the old hymns until the end. She attended the Assembly of God church faithfully.

Dorothy's shelves were always full of canned food from their huge garden, the freezer full of home raised chicken, and the house filled with the smell of baking bread. The first time I met Dorothy was when Jim & Jeanette were still dating. Dorothy accepted me like one of the family. And when I think of all the times of teasing, cooking and just visiting with Dorothy I can't help but smile. She was a wonderful person and I loved her dearly. But her passing is part of life and I'm so glad she is now at peace. I know we will again meet in Heaven. To all her family, I pray God's peace and comfort be upon you at this time.

So sorry to hear of the loss of you precious mother. She was such a woman of God - truly a role model to all. Her gentle spirit was so special. I have great memories of both Dorothy and Sig. Truly salt of the earth people. Will miss seeing her when I come home.
