MALTA-Russell Jaynes 38, a Carman for BNSF Railroad, died Sunday, March 26, at Northern Montana Hospital, after a battle with cancer.

    Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Condolences for the family maybe left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com. with Pastor Bob Nagy officiating.

    Russell was born October 10, 1978 on Malta, Mt. to Billy Jaynes and Alice Blundred Jaynes. He received his early education at Malta Schools, graduating from Malta High School.

    He married Jennifer Dauch on February 10, 2001 in Malta and made their home in Dodson for many years before moving to the Havre area. He took a job as a car man for BNSF railroad a job he enjoyed and loved, making lots of friends along the way.

    He was man of many talents from creating barn wood furniture and many other things. He loved the outdoors, he spent his free time with his family fishing, camping, boating, 4-wheeling, and hunting.

    Survivors include his wife Jennifer Jaynes, son Thomas, daughters Gabrielle and Bethanee. His parents Bill and Alice Jaynes; Brother Robert Jaynes & family, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his grandparents Martin and Elsie Blundred and Norman and Billie Jaynes.

Cousin Russ you will be greatly missed. You were so soft spoken, I remember going over to the ranch and watching you and Rob when you were little. How I took you boys on a walkabout to the mailbox, that was a long ways, especially going back! I loved being out there in the mountains and wading thru the cold creek. My youngest son resembles you when you were younger. Gone too soon, but not forgotten.

It was a pleasure to know him. Always joking and laughing. May he look down on his children from above with a smile. Know that he will always always be with all of you.
