MALTA- Barbara Lee (Watson) Christofferson went to be with our heavenly Father on November 27, 2018 of natural causes at the Phillips County Hospital.

A gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday at 7pm, November 30th at Kirkwood memorial Chapel; Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com

Barbara was born on August 15th, 1963 to Tom and Lorraine Watson of Malta in Havre, Mt. She graduated from Malta High School in 1982, attended MSU-Northern, and went on to marry the love of her life Bruce Christofferson on October 15th, 1983. Barbara was a kind, loving, and devoted wife of 35 years, and a gentle mother to their five children; teaching them to love Jesus and others unconditionally. She touched the lives of many children and adults while serving as a teacher, host, and friend at Elim Lutheran Church. Barbara was known for her gift of hospitality, she loved hosting holiday and birthday gatherings in her home for all her family and friends. She enjoyed preparing amazing meals, and was especially known for her delicious pies.

Barbara naturally found the good in everybody, and had a soft heart of compassion and service for others. She enjoyed visiting with loved ones on the phone, and she never ended a conversation without letting her family know she loved them. Even as adults, she loved giving her children a hug and an ‘I love you’ before bedtime. While she will be deeply missed by us all, her warm embrace will be something we long for, and our ears will ache for her soft voice…we have assurance we will meet again in heaven because of Jesus’ love for us.

Barbara is survived by her husband Bruce Christofferson, children Brianna (Devin) Brooks, Justin, Carlee, and Kameron (Cambria) Christofferson. Mother Lorraine Watson, Sister Lorna (Dale) Krause. Grandchildren Carson, Billie, Kennedi, Tinley, and Connor who knew her as ‘Grandma Honey’. Mother-in-law Joan Christofferson, numerous brother/sister-in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and her dog ‘Buddy’. She was preceded in death by her son Tyler Allan Christofferson, father Tom Watson, Brother John Watson, Father-in-law Artt Christofferson, and sister-in-law Jan Christensen.

Memorials may be sent to Cysplace.org
