MALTA-Gregory John Sundseth, died peacefully after a bout with cancer, surrounded by his family on April 21, 2018 in Malta Montana.

Gregory born to John and Marjorie (Harwood) Sundseth on January 12, 1949 in Havre Montana, he was raised on his family ranch/farm in Strater Community, East of Malta. Greg attended St. Mary’s Middle School, and graduated from Malta High School in 1967. Upon graduation, Greg attended Montana State University until he was drafted into the United States Army in 1969. Greg received his training in Fort Riley Kansas and Germany, and then sent on his tour in Viet Nam in 1970. After his discharge, Greg moved to Denver Colorado where he began working building homes. Greg attended Red Rocks Community College where he received his degree in Electronics. After graduation, he began working as a Telecommunications Engineer for over 30 years. It was there that he met and married his wife Deborah Stephens. Together they had a son, Scott, and daughter Kristy. They divorced and he later married to Terry Robertson in 1985. He then helped raise his stepdaughter, Jill. Greg became a proud grandfather for the first time in 1997, when Jill had her daughter Kaylee. He then became the proud grandfather of three more boys; Kristy’s sons, Wyatt in 2004, Colton in 2005, and Jill’s son Caine in 2007. In 2006, Greg moved back to Billings Montana and began working for Bresnan Communications managing their cellular service. In 2010, Greg an avid outdoorsman, retired and moved back to his home town of Malta, Montana, where he enjoyed his hobbies of hunting, fishing and golf with his brother Grant. Growing up Greg enjoyed playing sports and was on the both the football and wrestling team. While in Denver, Greg participated in various leagues and tournaments including bowling, softball, trapshooting, darts, and golf.

Greg was preceded in death by his father John and mother Marjorie Sundseth.

He is survived by his siblings Grant Sundseth, Cindy Iverson (Tom), Bruce Sundseth (Lana), and his children Scott Sundseth (Jen), Kristy Sundseth (Travis), and Jill Gallegos (Manny), as well as his grandchildren Kaylee, Jordan, Brookelyn, Wyatt, Colton, and Caine.
