Loring Colony- Joshua “Josh” Hofer 78, It is with great heartache that Mr. Josh Hofer beloved husband, father, brother, uncle grandfather, and great grandfather has passed away peacefully in Billings hospital on October 15, 2018 with the love of his family surrounding him. Memorial services will be Friday, October 19, 2018 10:00 AM at Loring Brethren Church Internment to follow at Loring Colony Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com

He was born on May 28, 1940 in Sterling Alberta. Then later moved to Deerfield MT. there he married the love of his life Barbara Stahl of Stettler, Alberta. From there they moved to Harlem MT. and started their wonderful family of 7 children.

Dad had numerous jobs through his lifetime blacksmith, and gardener. The family moved to Harlem in 1982 where he was also a German school teacher, minister, poultry farmer, electrician, and plumber. His pride was being organized, especially while working with mom and second son Josh in the garden. Dad also helped his father manage the financial business, then later continued on his own.

Through his retirement he enjoyed his friends and family members. No one was a stranger to Grandpa. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. What grandpa looked forward to the most every morning was when Logan called him “Grandpa Can I come over?”                                       Josh was a man of true words and faithfully spoke of God. His True Hero.

Dad and Moms love was like no other, they were each other’s true soulmates from beginning to end. Having each other brought them through tough times, with the Lord there to guide them. You will be dearly missed and know that we will take care of mom.

All his lifetime Grandpa was a hardworking man and had a heart of gold. We cherish the moments he spent with us, the advice that was given will remain forever in our hearts.

Left to mourn is his precious wife and family.
