MALTA- It is with great sadness that the family of Mark Allen Rogers announces his unexpected passing at Phillips County Hospital, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 59 years old.

Mark was born on November 17, 1958 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Gerald and Janet Rogers. He was raised in California and Great Falls, graduating from CMR in 1977. Known for his strong work ethic, he joined the BNSF railroad in 1978. He served for the Department of Maintenance Of Way, retiring after thirty-five years in 2013. Mark enjoyed all outdoor activities and was an avid big game hunter. He pursued elk in the Missouri River Breaks and in the mountains around Lincoln, MT. Some of his other passions included walleye fishing, camping, and being outdoors in the Big Sky state. As a Ford enthusiast, he was mechanically inclined, loved to rebuild engines and cars, and was an owner of multiple Mustangs and trucks throughout his lifetime. Other hobbies included all pro sports, but especially following the Minnesota Vikings, Dodgers, and the Lakers. Mark was a member of the BNSF Maintenance Of Way Union, the NRA, and the Little White Church in Malta, MT.

Mark married his soul mate, Dana Sue Warn, in 2003 and they made their home in Malta. They enjoyed traveling together and spending time with their grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife, Dana Sue; parents, Gerald and Janet Rogers of Great Falls; Step-sons, Tim of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher of Lawton, OK, Matthew of Duluth, MN; sister, Michelle (Terry) Messman of Snohomish, WA; brother, James (Karla) Rogers of Simms, MT; and several nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.

Mark was known for his love of his family, his witty sense of humor, and kindness to everyone. He will be deeply missed and loved forever.

A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in Malta, MT with a reception to follow at the Little White Church. Condolences for the family in Mark’s memory can be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com.

My family siblings, and group of friends send a rest in peace to Mark. We called him "Rogers-Man." He was a funny M-Fer as he used to say. He took me cruising in his 66/Stang. I have one just like it to this day.
We all remwmber you old friend...way too early to leave us. Darryl aka Mr Clean
