Alice E. Potter Soennichsen passed away March 7th 2019 at Alaska Regional Hospital surrounded by family.

Graveside Services will be Noon, Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel (because of cemetery conditions.) Memorial services will be held later this summer when all the family can be present. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com.

She was born June 20th 1947 in Bellaire Ohio the daughter of Doris and Ed Potter. She was the oldest of 11 siblings.

She graduated Malta high school in 1965 and later that year she married Dannie Soennichsen on October 16th. She had many interests and loved life. She drove pilot car in Alaska in the early eighties. Her biggest joy in life was being around and taking care of her family. She will be so greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Soennichsen of Anchorage Ak; son and daughter in law Daniel and Tracy Soennichsen of Kalispell Mt; daughter Laura Soennichsen of Eagle River Ak; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Dannie Soennichsen her sister Patricia Potter-Palm, brothers William "Bill" Potter, Edward Potter, parents Doris and Edgar Potter and twin grandsons Jesse and Dakota Durland.

Alice was a regular member at my work. I was always so happy to see her every other day when she’d come in. Sometimes she’d come stop by just to say hi, not even to do business. She was always so happy no matter the pain she was in. I am happy she is no longer in pain and in a better place. Alice was truly a wonderful woman. It breaks my heart to hear this news.
