SACO- Arnold Raymond Englund 83, passed away peacefully at his home on October 27, 2019 after watching the World Series. Cremation has taken place. Services will be announced at a later date. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com

Arnie was born on August 25, 1936 in Tenino, Washington to Arnold Raymond Englund Sr. and Edna Goodwin (Baier). He married his wife Rodgie on July 14, 1956 in Yelm, Washington.

Arnie worked for Weyerhaeuser for 25+ years until he got the chance to go to Liberia Africa to work as a supervisor in the woods there. Him his wife Rodgie, daughter Susie made many memories there until his leg was broken and they returned to Rainier Washington. He then worked in Alaska for a few years as a crew manager for gold miners.

After his wife passed he moved to his childhood home of Saco, Montana where he rebuilt his life as a rancher. He loved his homestead and made many memories there with his children and grandchildren’s visits.

He tamed two feral cats which resulted in two batches of kittens which he loved and spoiled.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Rodgie, Sister Reona Layton, Granddaughter Robyn Johnson, and Grandson Timothy Arnold Hopkins.

He is survived by his brothers Dave (Shirley) Englund, Jim Englund; daughters Karen (Al) Kurosu, Myrna (Terrell) Hopkins, and Susan (Rick) Rossmaier and his dear neighbor George Soennichsen; And 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
