
MALTA-Jeff
Miller, 66 of Malta, passed away September 22nd in Billings of
natural causes.
Jeff
was born in Malta and graduated from Malta High School. He was a
Navy CB diver/UCT plank holder. He worked all over the world
with his underwater construction skills. He built military
underwater detection systems, pier maintenance and did
underwater survey. After the Navy he attended Northern Montana
College in Havre.

When
Jeff returned home, he continued using his diving skills with
brother Rick by opening up and repairing under water culverts
for local construction companies and ranchers, along with
retrieving ice fishing mishaps at Nelson reservoir.
Jeff
was a very talented carpenter and a master of finish carpentry.
He built his own home and then later moved into and restored his
childhood home.
He
was an avid fisherman and hunter. He collected and restored
antique cars along with antique furniture. He enjoyed his time
at home watching the wildlife and taking care of his pet cats.
He is
preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Barbara (Kovach)
Miller and his brother Craig Miller.
He is
survived by his brothers, Ron (Donna) Miller of Havre MT, Steve
Miller of Great Falls MT, and Rick Miller of Malta MT. Numerous
nieces and nephews.
He
will be greatly missed by his close friends, Tim Bullard, Mike
Lowney, Dan Perry and Chuck Spoonheim.
A private military graveside service
is planned for a later date.

Jeff is my uncle. He and I looked terribly alike. I wish I could have had more time with him. The time we did share, which was at Grandma's passing, was great but not enough. Jeff, we had more to discuss. Salute!!!
