MALTA- Roy Waters
74, passed away March 21, 2019 at his home of natural
causes.
The family will receive friends on
March 27, 2019 at Kirkwood Memorial Chapel at 7:00 PM. Memorial
service will be March 28, 2019 at Grace Fellowship Church at
11:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors will be at Malta
Cemetery following the services.

Roy was born January 13, 1945 in
Malta to Walter Waters and Dorothy Holzhey. He attended school
in Malta and graduated from Malta High School. He grew up
working on his family’s farm. Roy served in Vietnam and Okinawa
with the US Army as a medical corpsman operating room specialist
from 1965- 1967.
Roy was employed as a general laborer
for many local farms and businesses. He enjoyed his many friends
and attending auction sales. He attended Malta Community Church
and Grace Fellowship. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He
was also a member of local groups throughout his life such as
MHS Pep Band, 4-H, bowling leagues and church choir.
Roy is survived by Brother’s Gary
(Faith) Rochester, MN; Wayne (Donna) Helena, MT; Martin (Peggy)
Billings, MT; Ralph (Margie) Mesquite, AZ; Clair (Kathy) Malta,
MT; Sisters Marlis Brodsack Billings, MT; Ruth (Greg) Salveson
Malta, MT; Lola (Rob) Skryja Ethridge, MT; and many nieces and
nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Walter; mother Dorothy; and sister Donna.

Will miss the visits by Roy and his very best friend Phil Nelson. The first years I was here the "Boys" would walk from past my house down into Trafton along the Milk and end up at the museum.
They were very good at "offering" advice on my current yard project and offering encouragement when a project looked overwhelming.
Phil keep your great memories in your heart forever. A true friend is the greatest.
