She spent
her life in service to her God by caring for her family, as well
as her community, at the Old Malta Hospital, Country Home and
Good Samaritan nursing home. Generations of Phillips County
children will remember her with love as Grandma Selma.
Selma was
born to Albert and Olga Solberg of North Dodson; she attended
Longview School and graduated from Dodson High School. She
married Frank and together they raised six kids Esther of Citrus
Heights, CA; Ruth (Ron) Frye of Fernley, NV; Shirlee (Mark)
White of Billings, MT.; Merrilynn Minneapolis, MN; Robert of
Colstrip, MT; Jenni (Bruce) Brown of Minneapolis, MN;
She was
blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, each
one she loved unconditionally.
Loved ones
rejoicing with her in heaven are her parents, husband Frank and
brothers Ingwald, Harold, and Norman.
In addition
to her children, her siblings Arthur, Sarah Ostlund, Edward,
Sidney, Carl, Ralph and their families, survive her. Other
survivors include her Elim Church and Hi Line families that were
so special to her.
We are
humbled and grateful to them for their care through the years
along with love shown by her adopted children Viv and Larry.
Proverbs
31:28 “Her children rise up and call her blessed.”
In lieu of

Selma babysat our children, Jacque and Becca. They loved to go to her house as pre schoolers and eventually stay with her after school each day. She was a kind and gentle person to all of us. Her love for all people was a blessing to our family. Our condolances to all your family. Jack and Penny Lind

Shirlee and family,
We am so sorry for your loss. We loved your mom dearly and will miss her smiling face. She always included us as her family at all our functions and we will miss her greatly. You mom had a special way about her and I really enjoyed her company. I know that you will all miss her. She is at peace in heaven.
Love You Sue & Darrell and Family
