MALTA- H. Dewain Matthews 86, a retired farmer, died Thursday, August 10, at a Billings Hospital following a brief illness.

    The family will receive friends at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 17 at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Interment with military honors will be in the Malta Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice. Condolences for the family may be left at

HAYS-Jason Skidmore, 34, a laborer, died Tuesday, August 15, at Benefis Hospital from injuries received in an auto accident in Havre.

    Wake services will start Sunday, August 20 at the Kills at Night Center in Hays. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 21 at the center. Interment will be in the Mission Cemetery at Hays. Condolences for the family may be left at

 MALTA-Byron D. Ereaux, 65, former Mayor of Malta and convenience store manager, died Wednesday, August 16, at a local care center of natural causes.

    Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 21 at the yard of Roy & Marian Ereaux, 234 S. 2nd Street East, Malta. There will be a gathering to share remembrances of Byron at Roy’s yard, 5:00 P.M. on Sunday. Condolences for the family may be left at
